Method

How PhenoAge is calculated: the Levine formula

PhenoAge was developed by Morgan Levine at Yale (2018) on NHANES-III data using Cox regression to predict mortality. The model "translates" 9 biochemical markers into years of biological age — for each additional year of PhenoAge, the risk of death rises by about 9%.
