Draft — pending review by US counsel. This document describes what the Service actually does today. It has not yet been reviewed by a licensed attorney.
This policy is separate from our general Privacy Policy because Washington and Nevada require health-related information to be described in its own document. It applies to everyone, not only to residents of those states.
The short version. Smart Longevity calculates health estimates and does not keep them. The numbers you enter into a calculator and the result it produces are never written to our database. We do not sell consumer health data, we do not share it for advertising, and we have never done either.
1. What counts as consumer health data here
Washington law defines consumer health data broadly: it covers not only diagnoses and measurements but also information that is derived or inferred about your health. A biological-age estimate produced from your inputs is exactly that kind of derived information, so we treat it as consumer health data even though it is not a medical record.
2. What we collect — and what we never store
2.1. Calculator inputs are not stored. Height, weight, blood pressure, laboratory markers, lifestyle answers and everything else you type into a tool are transmitted to our server over TLS, used to compute the answer, returned to you, and then discarded. They are not written to the database, not written to logs, and not sent to any third party.
2.2. Calculator results are not stored either. The estimate is displayed to you and is gone when you leave the page. PDF reports are assembled inside your own browser; the file never reaches our servers, which is also why one person's report can never reach another.
2.3. What we do keep is the fact that a calculation happened: your account identifier, the name of the tool, and the time. This exists solely to enforce the limits of your plan. It contains no health values and cannot be used to reconstruct them.
2.4. You may also voluntarily write health-adjacent information into your public profile — for example an interest in a topic. That is ordinary profile text under your own visibility setting, and you can edit or remove it at any time.
3. How it is used
Consumer health data is used only to produce the result you asked for, at the moment you asked for it. It is not used for advertising, not used for profiling, not used to train models, and not used to decide anything about you.
4. Sharing
4.1. We do not sell consumer health data. Washington law requires separate written authorization before any such sale. We have never sought that authorization because we do not sell this data and do not intend to.
4.2. We do not share consumer health data with advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics providers. There are no third-party trackers on this site.
4.3. Because calculator inputs and results are never stored, there is nothing of that kind for us to disclose — including in response to a legal demand.
5. Your rights
5.1. You have the right to confirm whether we hold consumer health data about you, the right to a list of the third parties with whom it has been shared (for us that list is empty), the right to withdraw consent, and the right to have it deleted.
5.2. Deletion. You can delete your account and everything attached to it yourself, from your profile, at any time. To make a request in writing instead, email info@smartlongevity.us. We answer within 45 days. When we delete, we delete — including from backups on their next rotation — and we instruct our processors to do the same.
5.3. Exercising any of these rights never costs you access to the free part of the Service.
5.4. Appeals. If we decline a request, reply to our answer and we will reconsider within 45 days. If we still decline, you may complain to the Washington State Attorney General or to the attorney general of your state. Washington's law also gives you a private right of action under the state Consumer Protection Act.
6. Security and retention
Data that is never stored cannot be breached, which is the main reason we designed the calculators this way. The account-level records described in section 2.3 are protected the same way as the rest of your account and are removed when you delete it.
7. Not medical care
Smart Longevity is an educational service. Its calculators do not diagnose, do not treat, and do not replace a consultation with a physician, and using them does not create a physician–patient relationship. We are not a HIPAA covered entity and this is not a medical record.
